Thursday, December 30 The loss of human life is so tragic. Almost beyond comprehension in south-east Asia this week. I wish I had something inspiring or even appropriate to say. I don't. I mourn. That is about all I can say. posted by Duncan @ 10:45 PM 0 comments Thursday, December 23 Congratulations to my friends Brett and Beatrice who are now engaged! posted by Duncan @ 11:23 AM 1 comments Wednesday, December 22 Christmas shopping is almost done. One gift to buy, and two to complete. Of course completion has hit a snag. Hopefully I will think of a work around in the next day. I would ask for suggestions, but there is no way to ask all of you without Allie discovering what it is... posted by Duncan @ 8:31 PM 0 comments Monday, December 20 I am definitively the kind of person who would normally know everything like this - Christmas in the Stars - the Star Wars Christmas album. I first saw it and thought "Hey, I'll take a listen. Maybe even download an MP3 or find a CD." But listen. And then you will agree with me that it is indeed from the same vein as the Star Wars Holiday Special. (I'd say it is hard to find, but I found it on BitTorrent in about thirteen seconds, and just to confirm with my memory that it is in fact dreadfully horrid, it will be finished downloading in a couple of hours.) Still, worst Christmas album ever. For a funnier review, go here. posted by Duncan @ 8:57 PM 0 comments After reading this couple's journey, I have decided I too would like a hobbit hole. I doubt I am in any way shape or form serious, but it certainly sounds cozy and interesting. Although I would need to own the property. I will need to work harder if I want to own property. posted by Duncan @ 4:30 PM 0 comments Friday, December 17 Duncan = success But not in the plot. Not yet. posted by Duncan @ 10:26 AM 0 comments Thursday, December 16 I am plotting something. Too early to say what. posted by Duncan @ 10:33 AM 0 comments Monday, December 13 Apparently teflon is bad for you and your pets. And of course I want to be healthy. The problem is, I really don't know how to cook without teflon. Certainly not well. Too bad for me. And I can't even cut a balance as someone tossed all of our teflon pans. I'm not sad, just lamenting. Regardless of its deadly emissions, teflon certainly did fry a mean egg. posted by Duncan @ 7:55 PM 0 comments Yup. I do need a Christmas break. Soon. Two presentations to go at work. posted by Duncan @ 5:17 PM 0 comments Saturday, December 11 It is finally snowing here in Edmonton. I have begun thinking about buying Christmas gifts. My tree is up. I believe the holiday season is here. I have avoided blogging for awhile now, largely because I felt I had nothing good to blog about. Oh sure, some believe there is lots to blog about, like this or this or even this, but truthfully, I have been happy to take a break from writing. In fact, even writing the simplest things are at work has been difficult. It is almost like I broke my brain. It got like that occassionally in university, of course deadlines were able to fix that. Regardless, I feel a bit like Homer Simpson: Homer: Marge, where's that... metal deely... you use to... dig... food... Marge: You mean, a spoon? Homer: Yeah, yeah! posted by Duncan @ 5:42 PM 0 comments © 2003-2010 Duncan Wojtaszek No reproduction whatsoever, in any form, without permission.
