Canada calls for Security Council reform

Wee! I used to be quite the United Nations geek, so this little piece brightened my day. And I agree, Security Council reform is overdue. Still, as always what the US thinks I imagine is the big deal. Of course, I don't know the current US line on Security Council reform, and am even too lazy to Google to find out. Now that I think about it, that is pretty darn lazy. Stand by.

    Hmm...

U.S.: Reform U.N. before expanding Security Council

That sounds like them. "Japan has earned its honorable place among the nations of the world by its own effort and its own character. That's why the United States unambiguously supports a permanent seat for Japan on the United Nations Security Council," says Condi Rice. I agree with that. Sounds reasonable. Hmm... but the United States isn't reasonable. There must be more to it. But really, now I have to put my foot down. Seriously, two members of my family are yelling at me to get my shoes on so we can go for dinner. Wes is actually wincing in hunger pangs. Nope, now he has fallen to the ground. The dog is sniffing him to see if the greater ecosystem that is our house has provided a meal for her. Nope. Wes wants her to go away. Alright. I have to go. I might have Security Council thoughts while I am out and about.
