Recently I moved offices, and we left the proximity of what I felt was the greatest coffee shop in the entire world, the Sugarbowl, in exchange for a Starbucks down the street. The only bad part of the move. Now the coffee gods have conspired again, killing my favourite special coffee at what was my favourite chain coffee shop, Second Cup. Allie and I went to Second Cup yesterday to get some coffee and biscotti and the Creme Brulee Ristretto was no longer on the menu. Boo. I asked. They confirmed its death the previous day. Sniff. I need to find real outlets for my love and attention, as focusing on consumer products just leads to disappointment.

I think it is a terrible move on behalf of Second Cup - what were they thinking getting rid of one of their signature cups of coffee - and not like it was too hard to make... they have likely halfed the chances that we will know choose Second Cup over Starbucks or other coffee shop... I don't know if you noticed but they've changed another bunch of the menu too - the cold fruit drinks. I really don't know what to think.

I'm just envious you have a Second Cup to go to... or even a Tim's!

No disagreement on that Michele. From that perspective, we are indeed lucky.

A good coffee shop usually takes delicacies off the menu but still will create them for you upon request, no? At least, Starbucks does... :-)

They said they'd only make it until their supplies (aka "syrup") ran out.
Bloody Pirates... oh wait, thats something else.
