Tuesday, May 30 Day 1: Rib-eye Steak with grilled corn on the cob and garlic potatoes Day 2: Buffalo burgers and cheese (and more corn) Day 3: Beef and pork kebabs and rice What's next? I'm sure enjoying my new barbecue. posted by Duncan @ 10:28 PM 4 comments Sunday, May 28 The next time Dan McBride rents a car, he may want to inspect it not just for dings and dents but also for snakes... McBride got into his car Wednesday night with a colleague and saw the snake draped across the console. McBride said he thought it was a rubber snake someone put there as a joke. He even gave the snake a pat and put the car into drive...AH! In a rental car? AH! I'm not sure what I do now, given how on occassion I rent cars. A snake? In other news, the Edmonton Oilers are going to the Stanley Cup! Congratulations to them and their fans, who now moderately and temporarily can include me in their list. posted by Duncan @ 8:19 AM 1 comments Sunday, May 21 Recently I moved offices, and we left the proximity of what I felt was the greatest coffee shop in the entire world, the Sugarbowl, in exchange for a Starbucks down the street. The only bad part of the move. Now the coffee gods have conspired again, killing my favourite special coffee at what was my favourite chain coffee shop, Second Cup. Allie and I went to Second Cup yesterday to get some coffee and biscotti and the Creme Brulee Ristretto was no longer on the menu. Boo. I asked. They confirmed its death the previous day. Sniff. I need to find real outlets for my love and attention, as focusing on consumer products just leads to disappointment. posted by Duncan @ 7:25 AM 6 comments Sunday, May 14 "I’m not going to defend the indefensible. As well, Brett has photos up here and here. I also wanted to say I am amazed at the comments coming out of Quebec this week, a result of five sovereignists coming out and questioning the movement and its aims and means. Good on them. A link to elucidate more is this editorial from the Montreal Gazette. And for those keeping track of the politics at play, the Conservatives are in a statistical deadheat with the BQ in Quebec, with the Liberals deep in the basement. Props to Colin and Don for putting this in perspective. posted by Duncan @ 8:06 AM 0 comments Wednesday, May 10 Umm... I don't know. Well, I do know. There are on the old host. And now I have a new host. But I am lazy, and am not sure I want to do the work to get them back. The same way I am lazy in backing up certain files. Stand by. posted by Duncan @ 6:33 PM 0 comments Friday, May 5 I have returned from Sin City. Likely there will be stories (maybe, maybe not) and pictures to come, but I guarantee Allie will cover it in vast detail. Look at her Flickr page (which also doubles as our photo album) for coverage. And I bet Brett and Beatrice will cover it too. posted by Duncan @ 7:21 PM 0 comments © 2003-2010 Duncan Wojtaszek No reproduction whatsoever, in any form, without permission.
