Monday, March 26 BATTLESTAR GALACTICA SPOILERS: If you haven't seen the latest episode of Battlestar Galactica (and plan to), stop reading here. Because I'm going to rant about it. And the rant will reveal what happened. I am upset. First of all, let me be clear, Dr. Gaius Baltar is guilty. The most guilty man in Guiltyland. He was guilty from the very first moment we saw his character and every step of the way he just added to his considerable guilt. Thousands upon thousands, billions upon billions of albeit fictional lives fell to Baltar's ego and sense of self-preservation. As I said to Allie, I almost wished he was a member of the final five Cylons so we would have the satisfaction of maybe executing him every single week. Not that I believe in the death penalty (because I don't), but because what he did was that wrong. I'm not the only one who is upset - Allie is upset too, thinking on what else Battlestar Galactica could possibly be about now that they seem to have found Earth. I, on the other hand, have faith. I was certain it spelled certain doom when they created New Caprica, but Ron Moore and crew wrote their way off that hellish planet and back into my heart, so I'll bite again and eagerly anticipate the next season of Battlestar Galactica. Hopefully the rest will have nothing in common with Galactica 1980.
