I think I have decided to design my own wedding dress, unless I can find that perfect dress in a store somewhere here in Edmonton... or in Calgary...

Regardless, I have collected pictures of dresses I like, or atleast parts of dresses I like, and will likely run my ideas past a designer sometime soon. Until then, the search continues...

Also, for my beautiful Bridesmaids, I have narrowed the choice down to either platinum or deep blue dresses. Long, and simple, yet elegant. Raven will wear a smaller version of it as well. Will easily match any grey/silver/black/dark color scheme Duncan comes up with for himself and his groomsmen... and will be completely resuable for other fun events.

And for flowers... I am considering a medieval arrangement... but more on that later!

Duncan is printing up our Engagements Announcements at the University today. Hopefully we will get to mailing them out this weekend.

I wish it hadn't taken us so long, but Duncan really wanted us to do it ourselves, and that effort has been hampered by the computer crashing and being in shop still. But we will have it back in time to design and print our invitations!

I don't know exactly what kind of dress I want to wear to the wedding. There are actually so many different styles, but amazingly enough I have been able to narrow it down to only two different styles to choose from. The biggest questions remain these: do I order one from a catalogue, or have one designed and made.... and what color (Wedding dresses now come in ALL colors).

I am excited about the dress decision, but I wish I had some friends to help me out. I tried to sort of enlist Duncan's help, but he would rather the dress be a surprise, which I totally understand. I guess for the most part I would like the dress to be a surprise to him as well. So I guess I won't blog much about the actual purchase, for that exact reason, but I will still talk about the process.

It is an exciting process, getting married. A little stressful trying to figure out how to make everything work and all, but mostly exciting - and dreamy. I love him so much!

Am trying decide how much weight I should lose and therefore what size of dress to order... A dress can more easily be fitted down then up...
